PARTNERING FOR CHANGE TALKS
With Danske Bank and the BMW Foundation we organized a series of outstanding online events, promoting Agenda 2030, discussing the role technology plays in catalyzing social impact, tackling the most pressing issues of the modern world - gender inequality and climate change.
Together with Global Utmaning and the Swedish Institute we uncovered some of the biggest barriers for female social entrepreneurs, discussed how to increase the level of understanding and awareness about this issue and promoted womed leaders on social media.
NORDIC CHANGEMAKER MAP
Together with Ashoka we launched a health check on the ecosystem that uncovered voices and ideas of more than 500 changemakers from Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark.
We launched a competition to enable entrepreneurs in the suburbs to get acknowledged and have the same opportunities as other entrepreneurs in the ecosystem.
BULGARIA: OPEN THE CIRCLE AND VALLEY OF GROWTH
Together with ING we founded the first in the country multi-sectoral coalition focusing on preventing poverty and social exclusion via social innovations - "Open the Circle". Furthermore, we launched the remarkable interdisciplinary "Valley of Growth" initiative, which aims at creating an outline for the first Bulgarian financial instrument targeted at early-growth SEs as well as forming an Impact community to enhance the ecosystem.
DENMARK: ADVISORY PROGRAM
Together with Bain & Co., we have been matching advisors and social entrepreneurs in the Bain & Co. Advisory Program where they have received support within different areas to empower their impact journey. The program will end in May with a Leaving the Nest event.
SENEGAL: INNOVATING FOR MOTHERS
With the help of AGORA the first house for pregnant women who need support and accommodation between hospital visits was built. It is one of the first houses offering help for future mothers in Senegal in such a way.
LATVIA: ONLINE DEMO DAY
Online Demo Day was the first event in Latvia when all the alumni came together and competed for grants provided by ECO Networks.
The other news is that our own Baltic Program and Partnership Manager, Kristine Verpeja was selected as the Board Member for Social Entrepreneurship Association of Latvia.
GHANA: PARTNERSHIP FOR CHANGE
We are proud to announce that this year we secured another partnership and we will launch a new biennial Ed-tech focused program together with the Jacobs Foundation. We will also continue the GIZ Widu program we are currently running for another year.
RUSSIA: ENDOWMENT FUND
The Vladimir Potanin Foundation recently invested 10 million rubles into the endowment fund of Reach for Change Russia (Navstrechu Peremenam Fund).
ETHIOPIA: 6 YEARS OF IMPACT
We celebrated our six years of successful impact journey together with our social entrepreneurs, key stakeholders and partners. In October an exciting mud festival was organized in Addis Ababa by Ethiopian social entrepreneur from our portfolio - Hamere Mulugeta and her team (Nu chika Enabuka). More than 10,000 people participated, enjoying different activities and the real childhood experience.
