  • Building an inclusive future in Sweden

Our Incubator program in Sweden is designed to help early-stage entrepreneurs develop sustainable businesses that improve inclusion and equality for children and youth in Sweden.

    Addressing the Challenge

Children from vulnerable groups in Sweden—those with different ethnic backgrounds, living in socio-economically challenged areas, or living with disabilities—face significant barriers in accessing their rights. As income inequality and segregation continue to rise, these children have more chances of being left behind.

We want to build an inclusive Sweden where all children and youth have the same opportunities to reach their full potential regardless of where they grow up.

    The Solution: Supporting Social Entrepreneurs

To address these challenges, we aim to identify and support social entrepreneurs who bring innovative solutions to the table. We designed an incubator program to help early-stage (proof of concept) entrepreneurs develop sustainable businesses and to ensure that their solutions have the desired impact, and an economically viable business model.

    The Incubator program offers:

    • access to an extended network
    • tailored advisory support through expert workshops, individual coaching and peer-to-peer exchange

The program focuses on three key development areas:

    1. Effective Solutions: Ensuring the solutions provided by entrepreneurs have a meaningful impact and address the root causes.
    2. Financial Sustainability: Helping entrepreneurs develop viable business models.
    3. Leadership, Team & Operations: Strengthening organizational leadership and operational efficiency.

    Impact in 2023

In 2023, we supported 10 social entrepreneurs who collectively reached over 15,000 children and youth. To track their progress, we assess the number of milestones achieved within the three key development areas. A milestone can be a completed activity (e.g., defining a clear impact model) or a result accomplished (e.g., demonstrating a positive impact).

    Key Outcomes:

    • 100% of social entrepreneurs showed development in at least one key area.
    • 70% developed across all three key areas.
    • The highest milestone achievement was in the area of Effective Solutions (70% of targeted milestones).

To understand the impact of our support, we conduct an annual survey with our Incubator participants. In 2023:

    • 100% of respondents indicated they would have developed less without our support.
    • 50% stated they would have developed significantly or far less.
    • 88% were satisfied with the overall support and would recommend the Incubator program to fellow social entrepreneurs.

    Long-Term Success

Our commitment to fostering long-term success is reflected in the achievements of our alumni. According to our latest survey:

    • 89% of alumni continue to reach more children and youth.
    • 78% have increased their revenues since graduating from the Incubator program.
