Our impact 2016

Turning innovative ideas into life–changing solutions for children

Innovations that combine the results–focused nature of the business sector with the knowledge and relentless passion of the social sector are a powerful engine for sustainable change. But in order to create change on a grand scale you need guidance and support. Something that, unfortunately, not everyone has access to.

That’s where we come in. We exist to find and help social entrepreneurs grow innovative ideas to their full potential. With access to seed funding, business expertise and networking opportunities at an early stage, these entrepreneurs can grow faster and stronger and maximize their impact on children. In this section you can read more about the impact we are creating through our programs, in 18 countries on three continents.

Improving the lives for hundreds of thousands of children

The social ventures we support work to achieve one of six impact objectives, using a variety of methods ranging from increasing awareness to equipping children with new skills. The ultimate aim is to develop solutions that in the long term can solve basic societal problems, not just treat the symptoms, improving children’s lives on a grand scale. During 2016 we supported a total of 433 social ventures, that have worked to improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of children. In this section you can read more about the impact our entrepreneurs’ have had on children. (Read about how our programs impacted our entrepreneurs here).

Solutions in portfolio split by impact objective

Through our impact objectives we contribute to the fulfillment of ten of UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (1-8, 10 and 16).

Our Programs

From idea to impact

Reach for Change identifies innovative early-stage social ventures tackling pressing issues faced by children. We support these ventures to scale faster and better than they would without support, in order to maximize their impact on children. We do this in 18 countries through two programs; the Accelerator and the Incubator.
