Over the last few months, weeks and even over the course of the last couple of days, the current COVID19 pandemic has spread and we now face unprecedented consequences. In a short span of time, we are already witnessing extreme ramifications on our health, well-being, economy and society.

Our oganisation joins many of you in taking our responsibility seriously, and are following international WHO guidelines and national recommendations to reduce the spread of contagion. We are taking active steps to keep our team and communities safe.

However, as social innovators committed to supporting social change for the better, we are convinced that we need to do what we do best. To choose solution over problem, to choose community and collaboration over going at it alone, and to empower individuals to innovate and to create movements of change.

We are yet to see the full effect the current uncertainties will have on our social entrepreneurs, the children and youth they support, and the ecosystems they work in. Like us and for many of you, the way they do business and create impact will have to be modified, and like many, they will also face uncertainties in these changing landscapes.

Reach for Change is taking action through:

1. Innovation: Working with our social entrepreneurs to best support them. We are currently looking at how we can redesign our ways of engaging our target groups and delivering our programs. In this process, we are really inspired by how some of our social entrepreneurs have been able to quickly adapt through anything from providing support to children in virtual platforms as to creating new formats for virtual partner meetups.

2. Collaboration: Working with our partners to see how we can best innovate and find new solutions that can support the very new challenges we are facing now.

3. Solution: Actively sharing our learnings on how we can find opportunity in the face of challenge, whether that be through new tools and digital ways of working, or through new delivery models. Stay tuned for our coming webinars!
