"Unique child" is a web platform where children can increase their self esteem and resilience through games.

About 50% of kids face bullying by the time their 18. You remember how you were as a kid. Insecure, always looking for acceptance from your friends and classmates. And when you didn’t get it or something embarrassing happened it felt like the end of the world. But you’re lucky. Cause although it felt like the end of the world, it wasn’t and life moved on. Sadly, that isn’t the case for everyone. 10% of kids have attempted to commit suicide due to bullying. Smart, young kids with their whole lives ahead of them choosing to give that all up because they were bullied… But it doesn’t stop there. With Facebook, Youtube and Twitter taking over the world, online bullying rates have DOUBLED.

We have to face the truth: it is not enough to deal with the external behavior of bullying. Instead, we have to look for the deepest causes of this problem - low self-esteem and self-awareness, lack of acceptance and support in the closest environment. These topics are really difficult and even painful for a kid to digest. We need something that kids would understand and not be afraid to be a part of. Something that would be engaging to reach their minds and souls. Something like a game where they all are heroes facing challenges but learning along the way, all are unique, and all valuable. A gamified online program UNIQUE CHILD was born. It applies the game-design elements and game principles together with the psychological content to the bullying prevention. UNIQUE CHILD is engaging, fostering behavioral change and self-awareness and creating a possitive impact in the social level.
